I have been an avid Red Sox fan since I was young. This project has been a labor of love for me for over three years. It addresses personal issues and passions which have surrounded me and influenced me my whole life.

In making, Chasing Buckner, I found that the project changed shape dramatically over time. Most notably when the Sox won the Series in 2004. Though it was one of the greatest days of my life, I immediately was stricken with horror as I realized the impact it had on my film which was originally designed as a tragedy. This turned into a blessing of sorts, however, as I was able to incorporate the Series win into the film and make it much stronger overall.
 

I also realize that this could be a much longer project, but as a short I believe it holds its own. Not having Buckner involved may be something I eternally regret, but I realize it is a sore subject for him and I can't blame him for abstaining.

As a film, I hope that Chasing Buckner conveys the passion I have for baseball and the complete respect I have for Bill Buckner as a person and ballplayer.
